Podia has been spending some time this winter searching for locations for our New Roads articles. We recently visited Chocianów, north of Wrocław and enjoyed it so much we had to give you a preview.

This year we plan more extensive explorations of the Bory Dolnośląskie region, an area that has a rich history and plenty of challenging cycling routes. Gravel roads that cut through forests harbouring the largest (outside of the USSR) military training area of the Soviet Army are only one of many examples. Other interesting sights include an airbase used as a nuclear weapon launch site as well as medieval remnants from the first Polish King.

As if that wasn’t enough, 20kms of cobbled roads with the longest sector lasting 3kms should keep us occupied when we go there to explore further…
