This August the Podia Summer Social was back for the second year. The Strava and Instagram competition that gives people the chance to win Podia kit.
With more than €900 worth of prizes on offer for the riders that can accumulate the most kilometres in a week, this year’s competitors smashed the record.
In 2016 the top three riders of the Podia Strava club leaderboard amassed a total of 2,962km. In 2017 the top three managed a grand total of 3,709km.
The winner for the second consecutive year in a row is Tomasz Jędrzejewski who covered 1,334km in seven days of riding.
Friends Bartłomiej Krupa (1,289km) and Dominik Kłóś (1,086.4km) kept each other company on their quest to win the top prizes and finished second and third. They also managed impressive elevations over the week (11,222m & 10,018m respectively)
This year Podia also honoured the top female rider in the leaderboard; Katarzyna Ludynia who completed 660.6km over the week, finishing 8th in the overall leaderboard.
An honourable mention goes to Mariusz Cukierski with the longest single ride of the week taking in 286km.
This year we also selected five images from the Instagram hastag PodiaSummerSocial. Each of the snappers of photographs received a Podia Cap and Musette Bag.
