We aim to strike the balance between a sufficient challenge and the well being of our guests.
Routes for each trip are planned and prepared in advance, but we are able to modify them according to the abilities and general feeling of the group as well as the weather conditions during each day. All information on routes can be found in the Adventure Guide for each trip.
Podiaventures are not for beginners and you need a fair bit of experience to take part. The idea is however to enjoy a new country, culture and food, as well as have a good time among other cycling enthusiasts from around the world.
We have two ride leaders at each trip and so are able to split the group to meet different expectations. Days are planned to give everyone enough of a challenge. The service vehicle is always near by, so if a rider does not feel like completing the ride, he or she can travel in the vehicle.
Our core Podia team is Polish and English, but guests tend to be international, so the language spoken during Podiaventures is English.
Yes, we will ask for your food preferences ahead of the trip and do everything we can to accommodate your dietary requirements. We have already welcomed vegetarians, vegans and lactose intolerant guests in the past.
It is always a mixture. We have had solo travellers, couples and small group of friends taking part in the past. The one constant is that every guest leaves with a new set of cycling friends.
Podiaventures trips attract riders from all around the world. We have had riders from places such as; Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore France, Germany, Belgium and the UK.
Our guests often come from different ‘walks of life’ which always makes conversations interesting and helps to create a friendly atmosphere that Podiaventures are gaining a reputation for!
Once you have paid a deposit and we have received the funds your place will be confirmed by individual email to you.
If you decide to fly to your Podiaventure, we recommend to arrive a day earlier ahead of the Podiaventure start. This is to avoid delays. If one flight is delayed, the schedule for Day 1 of the trip is delayed. If it is not possible to arrive a day in advance, we recommend landing at the airport in the morning or midday the latest. We recommend departure times to be afternoon or midday the earliest.
If you are going to travel by bus, train or car we recommend midday arrival time and early afternoon departure time.
We try to accommodate different arrival and departure times as much as we can. We will be in touch with you once the trip is confirmed to agree on best arrival and departure times and help you with your travel arrangements.
We have teamed up with the British brand Genesis for all our rental bike needs. On each Podia Roadventure or Gravelventure we are able to offer a bike to suit your needs.
We have our very own fleet of Genesis Volare 853 disc roadbikes in a number of different sizes as well as the Genesis Fugio for Gravelventures.
More information about the rental bikes available can be found on each trip page.
We do ask you to bring your own pedals, when renting a bike from us as well as a saddle, if you would rather ride one you are familiar with.
